Pastor W. Richard Patterson has been serving as a pastor and teacher over six decades. A native Los Banos, California, he was licensed to preach at the age of 19 by the Oregon District Assemblies of God.

His early Ministry was in small churches in  Oregon and Northern California. The Lord has directed him in non-denominational ministry from prayer groups, a college fellowship, street ministries, and in recent years as a volunteer chaplain in a state prison near the church where he was pastoring. In 1982 he founded Outreach Ministries International and pastored Zion Christian Fellowship of Lodi, California, from which he retired  after 20+ years. 

His ministry and teachings are firmly Biblically based with fresh insights in how these principles apply to daily life experiences. The author observes, "My heart's desire is that Christians everywhere learn how to truly live, walk and manifest the power of the Spirit. This can only be achieved when we come to know the Lord Jesus and fellowship with him in our daily life activities." It is to this purposes that writes and teaches today.
